JUNCTION SOLUTIONS RELEASES LATEST VERSION OF JUNCTION ISS, A BREAKTHROUGH POINT-OF-SALE SYSTEM BUILT ON MICROSOFT .NET 3.0

Microsoft .NET 3.0 Retail Point-of-Sale Application Provides Stunning User Interface Capability and Unprecedented Application Flexibility

Lincolnshire, IL – January 9, 2008 - Junction Solutions, a leading provider of business software solutions for mid-market retail and consumer goods industries, today announced the release of JunctionISS Version 4.2 for in-store retailers. JunctionISS has been built from the ground up on the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0, the most recent managed code programming model for Windows. Microsoft .NET 3.0 combines the power of the.NET 2.0 Framework with new technologies to provide an intuitive user experience, encapsulation of business processes for flexible reuse, and access to data anywhere using universal data standards.

JunctionISS gives retailers the ability to manage customer information, capture point-of-sale transactions, and also perform back-end operations such as purchase order creation, inventory transfers, sales reporting and staff management. It is available as a standalone solution, or integrated to other cross-channel solutions, including JunctionRES, which allows retailers to interact with other stores, other sales channels, and provide up-to-the minute inventory availability, pricing, and customer details at the point of sale. JunctionISS is not limited to running on a traditional POS device – retailers can also deploy it on self-service kiosk, mobile (handheld devices) and the Web.
